AA to AAA Quality
We begin with quality product. Sourcing well-established
partnerships with pearl culturing farms in remote areas
of Asia, Australia, and the South Seas, we purchase AA to
AAA quality white freshwater pearls, white akoya pearls,
black Tahitian pearls, and rare golden South Sea and white
South Sea pearls. In the interest of maintaining high ethical
standards and a reputation for quality, we only purchase
and import AA to AAA (highest) quality pearls. With careful
attention to industry standards, we then have these cultured
pearls hand-made into high-end finished cultured pearl jewelry,
using the finest materials and top quality U.S. - manufactured
gold clasps and mountings.

About Our President
 |
Ann McCarville, PearlStruck’s
owner and president, began PearlStruck in 2005. Following
a divorce, and with a five-month-old daughter to support,
she reluctantly sold her engagement ring to a downtown
L.A. diamond dealer, and later returned to the L.A.
jewelry district to sell the strand of pearls she and
her husband had purchased on a trip to Beijing. Quickly
becoming immersed in the business and activities of
the jewelry district, Ann realized her love for pearl
jewelry, and her interest in fashion and design. With
determination and an entrepreneurial spirit, she decided
she would not only own another strand of cultured pearls
someday, she would run her own pearl jewelry company.
Soon after, Ann McCarville started her online pearl
jewelry company, PearlStruck.com. |
Ann McCarville has worked extensively
to create solid relationships with pearl growers around
the world to find the highest quality pearls to import and
make into high-end pearl jewelry. In addition to her ambition,
Ms. McCarville’s success can be attributed to her
quest for knowledge—she has recently begun learning
Chinese, and enjoys keeping up with current world events,
cultures, history, politics, religion, and fashion.
Ms. McCarville funded the start-up costs
of PearlStruck in part due to the financial support of family
and friends, and with the eventual return to her former
career as a registered nurse. Ann McCarville, R.N., B.S.N.,
worked as a pediatric nurse in several children’s
hospitals, including Children’s Mercy Hospital in
Kansas City, Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Children’s
Hospital of Wisconsin, and Children’s Hospital of
Orange County. As her way of giving back to the community,
Ms. McCarville continues to devote her spare time working
with oncology patients as an IV therapy nurse. Ann also
contributes to various children’s charities; she strongly
advocates the assistance of women and children in need,
and care of the elderly.
Some charities PearlStruck contributes
to include: The Alliance for Children’s Rights, Autism
Research Institute, The Children’s Clinic, Half the
Sky Foundation, Oprah’s Angel Network, St. Anne’s,
Temple Bat Yahm, Women’s Funding Network, and American
Cancer Society.
